Quests are the central player loop on PBG. Open your journal with /journal to see what's active, what's available, and what you can claim. A sidebar tracker shows up to 2 active quests on the right side of your screen at any time.

Most quests pay out in Pokédollars and items. Some also award Battle Pass XP.

Getting started

Talk to the Quest Master at spawn and a tutorial quest (Welcome to PBG!) is added to your journal. The tutorial is sequential — five sub-steps walk you through the basics:

  1. Choose your starter (+₽100)
  2. Claim your starter kit via /kit (+₽100)
  3. Find and talk to the PBG Guide at spawn (+₽100)
  4. Explore spawn — walk around to discover the hub (+₽100)
  5. Run /rtp to head out (+₽150) → then catch your first Pokémon (+₽150 + 5 Poké Balls)

Finishing all five sub-steps awards a +₽500 capstone and unlocks the rest of the quest catalog (most quests require tutorial_complete).

Story / Mastery11One-timeSpawn tutorial, Zenith Mastery Easy/Medium/Hard, Royal Mastery Easy/Medium/Hard, plus 5 Voltera shrine quests (Dragon / Fairy / Fire / Ground / Ice)

Daily quests typically pay ₽100 plus a chunk of Battle Pass XP per sub-task; weeklies and monthlies scale up from there. The Mastery and Voltera tracks pay the largest single rewards — see Gym Mastery for the rematch ladder breakdown.

Only two quests show in the sidebar at once. If you want to see everything on your plate, open /journal.

Community challenges

Alongside personal quests, a server-wide daily challenge runs every day with three rotating objectives (e.g., harvest 200 berries, mine 500 blocks, level Pokémon together). Every player who contributes shares in the payout. Resets at the same 00:00 UTC cadence as personal dailies.

Mastery quests

Two parallel ladders open up once you've cleared Champion Leon and the Royal League:

  • Zenith Mastery — rematch all 8 Zenith gym leaders across Easy / Medium / Hard tiers
  • Royal Mastery — rematch all 5 Royal League members across Easy / Medium / Hard tiers

The Easy → Medium → Hard tier gate is global: you must clear both Zenith Easy and Royal Easy before either Medium starts. Royal Hard runs as a single sequential gauntlet — lose any leg and the Hard run resets.

Capstones: Charizardite Y + ₽10,000 for Zenith Hard, Choice Specs + ₽25,000 for clearing the Royal Hard gauntlet.

See Gym Mastery for the full per-leader breakdown.

Tips

  • The tutorial is the gate. Most other quests will refuse to start until you've finished Welcome to PBG! — knock it out first.
  • Daily resets happen at 00:00 UTC — check your timezone offset so you know when fresh dailies drop.
  • Long-form Overworld quests don't expire. Pick away at them between dailies; they pay the biggest single one-time rewards on the menu.
  • Many quests share progress with normal play — catching a Water-type for daily_catch_water_types also counts toward the monthly catch-200 goal.
