Rank Tiers

Climbing ELO unlocks rank tiers. Each milestone pays out once when first reached.

ELO uses Pokémon Showdown's K-factor system: new players move fastest, and lower-rated players gain more per win. A 3-win streak adds a small ELO bonus, and 5+ wins more.

Per-Battle Rewards

  • OHKO Clause — Sheer Cold, Fissure, Horn Drill, Guillotine are banned
  • Evasion Clause — Double Team, Minimize banned; Bright Powder and Lax Incense banned
  • Endless Battle Clause — moves and strategies that prevent the battle from ending

Banned Pokémon: Arceus, Eternatus, Kyurem, Necrozma, Hoopa, Groudon, Kyogre, and any species with the paradox or ultra_beast label.

Banned moves: Sheer Cold, Double Team, Minimize, Fissure, Horn Drill, Guillotine, Baton Pass

Banned abilities: Moody, Wonder Guard

Banned held items: Soul Dew, Lax Incense, King's Rock, Quick Claw, Bright Powder

All healing, status-cure, and revival items are blocked during the match — including Potion, Full Restore, Full Heal, Revive, and Max Revive.

Doubles overlay

Doubles also bans the Smogon SV Doubles OU list on top of the universal rules.

Extra banned Pokémon: Annihilape, Urshifu (Single Strike), Magearna (any form), Terapagos, and the full restricted label (Calyrex, Koraidon, Miraidon, etc.).

Extra banned held items: Razor Fang

Singles uses the universal list above with no extra overlay.

Queue and Match Behaviour

  • Recent-opponent avoidance — you won't be matched against your last 3 opponents for ~5 minutes.
  • Pending-match timeout — if a match ping goes unanswered for 5 minutes, it cancels.
  • Flee penalty — quitting a ranked match locks you out of the queue (5 min for 1–5 flees, 15 min for 6–10, 30 min after that). Penalty counters decay once per 24 hours.
  • Restrictions while queued/in battle — teleport, PC access, move swap, and pokeheal are blocked while you're queued or in a match.
