Tournaments run out of the Colosseum at spawn — the same building that hosts ranked battles. Head to the Tournament Desk on the ground floor to see what's scheduled and register.

/tourney menuOpen the Tournament Hub
/tourney checkinCheck in for your current match

From the hub you can open Live Tournaments to register, Manage Teams to save or import parties, browse the Leaderboards, or review your Battle History.

Registering

Open Live Tournaments from the hub and pick an event. You'll register a team from:

  • Current Party — your active in-game team
  • Showdown Import — paste a Showdown export into chat
  • Saved Party — one of your saved team slots

If your team breaks the format's rules — a banned species, move, item, or ability, or a clause violation — registration is rejected with a reason.

A tournament needs 10 registered players before it can start. With auto-start on, it begins automatically once that minimum is reached; staff can also force-start early or start it manually. Registration closes once the tournament starts.

Tournament registration caps each player at 2 associated IP addresses.

Checking in

Before each of your matches, you have a window to check in with /tourney checkin. Miss it and the match is cancelled — if your opponent checked in and you didn't, they win by no-show.

The bracket

Lose a match and you're out; win and you advance to the next round. Every match is a single battle — there's no best-of-3. The event recognizes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place once the bracket finishes.

Battle formats

Ten format slots are available — nine preset rulesets plus a Custom slot used for special events. Every preset uses a 6-Pokémon roster and a level cap of 50.

OU through PU are cascading Smogon-style tiers — each one bans everything the tier above it bans, plus more of its own. Ubers, Doubles VGC, and Randoms carry no species ban list. The Custom slot has no rules configured until staff sets one up for an event.

Every format runs Sleep, Evasion, OHKO, Species, Baton Pass, Endless Battle, and Moody clauses. Your PC is locked and trading is disabled for the duration of a tournament battle.
