PBG runs three parallel move-teaching systems out of the same NPC: Tutor Moves (Pokédollars per move), TMs (reusable discs), and TRs (single-use discs). A second tutor — the Dragon Master — handles dragon-type moves for diamonds.

The Moves Master NPC

The Moves Master (Lucario) at spawn opens all three menus:

TMs (ttms shop tm)Pokédollars (per-move pricing)Yes — reusable
TRs (ttms shop tr)Pokédollars (per-move pricing)No — single use

Tutor Moves

The General Tutor charges a flat 5,000 Pokédollars per move. It pulls from the Tutor Moves and Egg Moves categories of a Pokémon's learnset (TM-only moves are taught through the separate TM shop instead).

  • Blacklisted move: Wish.
  • Blacklisted Pokémon: Pikachu — use a different teaching path for it.

TMs and TRs

Each disc teaches one specific move, regardless of where the Pokémon would normally learn it.

The shop carries 312 TMs and 312 TRs — the same 312-move pool delivered through two different vehicles. Prices vary by move:

  • Common utility moves (e.g. Grassy Terrain): ~₽1,000
  • Mid-tier offensive moves (e.g. Foul Play): ~₽4,000
  • Top-tier coverage (e.g. Fire Blast): ~₽8,000+

The pool covers all 18 types, including moves from the Teal Mask and Indigo Disk DLCs.

Dragon Master

A second tutor at the same NPC, gated by permission (donator / specific unlock — needs verification). Pays in diamonds, not Pokédollars, and teaches only a curated dragon-move list.

How to teach a move

  1. Visit the Moves Master at spawn, or use the relevant command.
  2. Pick the menu (Tutor Moves / TMs / TRs / Dragon Master).
  3. Select the move and the Pokémon to teach.
  4. Confirm — currency is deducted on confirmation.

Not every move is learnable by every Pokémon — the menu will hide or grey out moves your selected Pokémon can't learn.
