Area Zero is a separate crater dimension built around Paradox Pokémon — creatures from other times found nowhere else on the server. It is also where PBG's first Legendary Quest plays out — see The Ritual below.

Getting there

Open the warp hub with /warps, pick Special, and choose Area Zero — you arrive at the crater camp near the centre of the map. Area Zero portals placed in the world open the same door: click Enter Area Zero on one and you descend into the crater.

There is no entry fee and no party check any more. Like UltraSpace, it is free to enter; use /warps or /spawn to leave.

What's out there

Twenty Paradox Pokémon spawn across seven biomes, each with its own species and level band:

BiomeParadox PokémonLevel range
Abyssal Mirror LakeFlutter Mane, Iron Bundle, Walking Wake50–70
Chrono Bloom ForestIron Leaves, Iron Valiant, Scream Tail30–55
Dustfall ExpanseGreat Tusk, Iron Boulder, Iron Treads40–65
Infernal CraterGouging Fire, Iron Moth, Slither Wing50–70
Silent Zero PlainsIron Hands, Raging Bolt, Sandy Shocks30–55
Stellar Crystal FieldsIron Crown, Iron Thorns, Roaring Moon35–60
Toxic Neon MarshBrute Bonnet, Iron Jugulis45–65

Levels run from 30 up to 70 depending on species and biome — check the table above before you commit to a target. Regular wild Pokémon spawn here too, layered underneath the Paradox pool, so you won't only run into Paradox species while exploring.

The Area Zero Crystal

A crystal entity found in the dimension can be harvested once per player for a random reward — Tera Shards most often, with rarer odds for a Gold Bottle Cap, Booster Energy, a Stellar Tera Shard, or (1 in 100) a legendary orb.

Scientists and Generators

PBG's first Legendary Quest. Area Zero is home to the first Legendary Quest on the server, with more planned. The chain runs in order: hunt 150 Past Paradox Pokémon (for Koraidon) or 150 Future Paradox Pokémon (for Miraidon) inside Area Zero, restore the four generators for the scientists, cross the portal, then face the Paradox Altar with a Cyclizar.

Step one is the hunt. Pick your legend and hunt for it: 150 Past Paradox Pokémon (Great Tusk, Scream Tail, Brute Bonnet, Flutter Mane, Slither Wing, Sandy Shocks, Roaring Moon) defeated inside Area Zero unlocks Koraidon; 150 Future Paradox Pokémon (Iron Treads, Iron Bundle, Iron Hands, Iron Jugulis, Iron Moth, Iron Thorns, Iron Valiant) unlocks Miraidon. You only need one counter full, not both — fill both and the altar picks one of the two at random. Only battles won inside Area Zero count.

With the hunt done, turn to the labs. A research team is camped in the crater, and each scientist has a name and a problem — one needs a catalyst for the bio-capacitors, one wants to raise a shield, one has dead coils, one has old lines that need waking. Two are pinned to their monitoring stations and will point you at the others; the last has been staring at the altar. Talk to all of them — what each generator actually needs is something you work out from their conversations, and this page won't spoil it.

Four power generators feed a portal, and every one of them has to be running before the portal will open.

Each generator wants one specific item. Hold that item in your main hand, interact with the generator, and choose "Try to turn it on" — the item is taken and the generator hums back to life. Turn up empty-handed and it just tells you it needs something.

Generator progress is saved per player and doesn't reset — once you've powered a generator it stays powered for you, and the portal only cares about your own four.

With all four running, interact with the Portal and pick "Use the portal" — it flares up and pulls you through. Short of that it just tells you it still needs power.

The Ritual

Pietro's theory is the one worth acting on: the altar in the middle of the chamber echoes the colours of Koraidon and Miraidon, and a Cyclizar in your party may be the genetic link that wakes it.

To attempt the ritual you need, in Area Zero:

A Cyclizar in your party

The ritual won't start without one.

150 Past Paradox defeated (Koraidon) or 150 Future Paradox defeated (Miraidon)

The two counters are separate and you only need one of them full: 150 Past Paradox defeats wake Koraidon, 150 Future Paradox defeats wake Miraidon. With both full the altar chooses one at random, and each ritual spends only the counter it used.

A free weekly attempt

You get 3 attempts per week.

Stand at the pedestal — it sits at x 117, y 76, z −2139 inside Area Zero — and start it.

Then you have to hold the ground. Four waves of six buffed Paradox Pokémon come at you, and you have to survive 60 seconds without leaving a 10-block ring around the altar. The wave Pokémon carry boosted health, attack and speed, and the ritual rolls a 2% shiny chance on what it spawns.

This ritual is the only way to get Koraidon or Miraidon on PBG — they do not roam, appear in raids or feature in hunts.

Restrictions

Area Zero isn't a build zone — land claims and /sethome only work in the Overworld, and blocks can't be broken or placed anywhere in the crater.

How it compares

DimensionFocusStructure
Area ZeroParadox Pokémon and the Legendary QuestFree-roam crater with a quest chain to the ritual
UltraSpaceUltra Beast huntingFree-roam across four biomes, no set path
Zenith RegionFull gym-and-Champion journeyLinear progression through eight towns

Area Zero and UltraSpace are both open hunting grounds for rare species-exclusive Pokémon — Paradox Pokémon here, Ultra Beasts there — but Area Zero is the only one with a quest chain running through it. Zenith isn't a hunting ground at all; it is the structured gym journey.
