Alpha Raids aren't on a timetable — the whole server unlocks them by hunting. Every alpha Pokémon anyone beats pushes a shared counter along, and when it fills, a primal boss fight opens at spawn for everyone who jumps in.

This is not a normal Pokémon battle. The boss is an arena fight you take on yourself — cannons, swords and a Titan transformation — with one real-battle round in the middle.

1. Hunt alphas

Every wild alpha you defeat or catch gives you a material themed to its type, and adds one to the server-wide counter. Each alpha only ever counts once.

At 100 alphas, the raid unlocks.

There's no progress bar. The counter isn't shown anywhere in-game — just keep hunting and watch chat for the unlock. It's also only kept while the server is running, so a server restart starts it again from zero.

2. Join the queue

When the counter fills, everyone online sees an ALPHA RAID announcement in chat with a clickable JOIN RAID button. The queue stays open for 2 minutes.

  • Click JOIN RAID, or run /alpharaid join — from anywhere on the server.
  • Changed your mind? /alpharaid leave takes you back out of the queue.
  • /alpharaid status shows the raid's settings (like how many alphas it needs) — not how many have been beaten so far.

When the queue closes, everyone in it is teleported to the raid arena at spawn. A 5-second countdown later, the boss appears.

Come prepared: your best sword (or axe), armour, food, a bow with a stack of arrows, and a battle-ready party that can handle level-100 Pokémon. The rest of this page explains why.

3. The boss

The boss is Groudon or Kyogre (even odds), at level 100 and double size, with 10,000 health behind 5,000 armour. You have 10 minutes.

The bar above its head shows armour first, then health. The timer runs in your action bar.

The fight, step by step

Break the armour — with the cannons

While the boss has armour, nothing you swing at it does damage. The arena has cannons (dispensers), and a cannon shot is the only thing that chips armour — 250 per hit.

  • Ammo drops from minions. Every minion you kill drops 1–2 fire charges. Only charges from this raid work — shop or leftover fire charges are refused.
  • Load: right-click a cannon while holding the charges. It holds up to 20.
  • Take control: right-click the cannon with anything else in your hand. You'll see "Control acquired. Left-click to fire."
  • Fire: left-click the air — the shot flies where you're looking. One charge per shot, one shot a second. Walk more than 10 blocks away and you lose control. Right-click again to hop off.
Left-click the air, not the cannon block — hitting the block itself breaks it.

A cannon shot also deals heavy damage to any minion it hits.

Hit it while it's vulnerable

When the armour hits zero you'll see ARMOR DESTROYED"You can now damage the boss directly!" Now it's melee time: hit the boss with fully charged swings. Spam-clicking does nothing; your weapon's attack damage decides how hard each hit lands (up to 20 a hit, and about 45 a second per player).

You get 20 seconds. Then the armour regenerates to full and it's back to the cannons.

Stop the final attack

When the boss drops to half health, it freezes and starts charging an attack that eliminates every player in the raid. Eight obsidian pillars rise in a ring around the arena, each with an End Crystal on top.

Destroy all eight crystals within 30 seconds — they're 16+ blocks up, so this is what the bow is for. Break them all and you'll see ATTACK INTERRUPTED. Miss the timer and everyone is wiped.

Primal awakening + the elite challenge

Interrupt the attack and the boss goes Primal — and its armour comes back in full. At the same time, four Elite Pokémon appear around it: Rhyperior, Golem, Aggron and Mamoswine, all level 100.

The Elites are fought in real Pokémon battles — walk up and battle them with your party. They can't be caught. Chat counts them off (Elite defeated: 1/4). The boss keeps attacking the whole time, so split the work.

Become the Titan

Once all four Elites are down, one random player becomes the Titan: a giant Rayquaza for 20 seconds. The Titan can't be hurt, and their inventory is swapped for four skills (it's all given back afterwards). Pick a slot and left-click the air to use it:

SlotSkillDamageCooldownNeeds
1Titan Claw1201 sWithin 10 blocks, facing the boss
2Titan Beam2504 sAimed at the boss, within 50 blocks
3Titan Slam4007 sWithin 18 blocks
4Titan Ultimate10% of the full bar15 sFacing the boss, within 40 blocks

Titan skills hit armour first, then health — so the Titan's job is to tear the refreshed armour off fast.

Finish it

After the Titan phase it's the same loop — cannons to break the armour, swords while it's vulnerable — until its health hits zero: BOSS DEFEATED. The final attack only happens once.

What the boss throws at you

  • Area attacks — meteor rain, lightning storms, fireball volleys, an orbital laser, shockwaves, void vortices, flame pillars and gravity slams. Keep moving.
  • Melee — it walks at the nearest player and hits for 4 hearts.
  • Minions — a wave of four Geodude, Graveler and Rhydon (level 70–90) every 30 seconds, up to twelve at once, plus extra when the boss calls for reinforcements. They chase the nearest player — but they're also your ammo supply.

Bigger groups, bigger boss

Each extra player makes the boss tougher — more health and armour, harder hits, faster attacks and bigger minion waves — but also adds time to the clock. Everything is capped, so a full group is always the way to go.

If you die or leave

  • Die and you're eliminated"Returning to spawn...". You're out for the rest of that raid.
  • Log out and you're removed from the raid.
  • If everyone is eliminated or leaves, or the 10-minute timer runs out, the raid fails (RAID FAILED). The next one needs another 100 alphas.

At the end — win or lose — everyone still in the raid is sent back to spawn, and the arena is tidied up automatically.
